The number of intruders in the broadcast bands is increasing everyday because various military stations try to hide their broadcasts here. There are mainly Russian, but also stations from the NATO area. They do this because the allocated bands are overcrowded and the new digital broadcasts need much more space than Morse or Telex. These frequencies are listed in ILG. According to regular bandscans the usage regularly and the ILG database is constantly updated.
Examples:
Military stations are running with approx. 5 kW but signal strenght is quite high and causing a high level of interferences for broadcasting stations !
Russian digital Signal MPSK-12 (AT-3004D Modem) with carrier frequency of 6032 khz (Center Frequency)
Russian digital Signal MPSK-12 (AT-3004D Modem) with carrier frequency of 9735 khz (Center Frequency)
Russian Telex Signal T-600 with 50Bd/200Hz with center frequency of 7338.0 khz
NATO digital Signal STANAG 4285 with carrier frequency of 5850 khz (Center Frequency)
Over The Horizon Radar
Particularly disturbing are OHR (Over The Horizon Radar) which hourly change frequencies and broadcast times and broadcast very broadband and strong signal. A documentaion is not possible due to the constant change. The stations are, for example, in Cyprus, Iran, Russia ...
Strong Over The Horizon Radar Signal (OHR) from Cyprus on illegal 15310 kHz (Center Frequency) here as an example.
OHR stations are operating on non-fixed schedule and every day a new frequency is in use and they do not care if their
operating frequency is in use or not by another station. The operating times of 10 minutes up-to 3 hours are also variable.
That´s why these OHR stations cannot be included in the ILG databases ...
