Perseus HF Receiver Software with Spectrum Mode in use with ILG Data
Update as of March 5th 2017
Perseus HF Receiver Software with Spectrum Mode in use with ILG Data
The Problem with PERSEUS SDR seems to be the PC Memory because the size of the databases (hfcc, userlist1, userlist2) are quite limited.
PERSEUS SDR is a high tec receiver but the databases to run it perfectly (to display the exact stations in the monitor window) are looking like ILG Database structure of the year of 1985 with PC Memory Space/Floppy of 160 KB and this is more than 30 years ago. It is like to drive an Audi A6 Quattro car with wooden wheels on a German Highway (Autobahn) !!!
The small window on right side gives e.g. name of station, location with code and full name in brackets, ITU country code and power in kW. These data can be displayed if special files (3 versions below) of ILG data are stored into your PERSEUS software directory.
ATTENTION:
3 or 4 Userlist files are to big for PERSEUS SDR software !
Use at all only 2 files, e.g. hfcc.txt (with approx 7000 sets) and e.g. userlist1.txt (with approx 30000 sets) or the userlist2.txt.
Broadcasting Band 9820 kHz

Broadcasting Band 9820 kHz
1. ILG in Text format (Userlist1.txt Structure)
All stations between 2 - 30 MHz
with DISPLAY:
Time in UTC, Radio Station (5), Days, ITU-Country Code, Language (3), Power in kW / Azimuth in degree
with DISPLAY:
Time in UTC, Radio Station (5), Days, ITU-Country Code, Language (3), Power in kW / Azimuth in degree
Usual abbreviations are in use and days are given as 1 = Monday ... 7 = Sunday, "-------" = daily
Link here to click (file name userlist1.zip with userlist1.txt)
Due to memory problems with PERSEUS software this file cannot work with more than 29999 ILG data sets!
Broadcasting Band 9820 kHz
or
Non-Broadcasting Band 10872 kHz
2. ILG in Text format (Userlist2.txt Structure)
All stations between 2 - 30 MHz including exact Frequencies with Decimal Point
with DISPLAY:
Time UTC, Station Name (5), Days, Power kW, Location (6), ITU Country Code, Language (3), Frequency kHz
with DISPLAY:
Time UTC, Station Name (5), Days, Power kW, Location (6), ITU Country Code, Language (3), Frequency kHz
Usual abbreviations are in use and days are given as 1 = Monday ... 7 = Sunday, "-------" = daily

Due to memory problems with PERSEUS software this file cannot work with more than ILG 29999 data sets! Broadcasting Band 9820 kHz
3. ILG in Text format only for PERSEUS SDR (hfcc.txt Structure)
BROADCASTING Database covering all Broadcasting Stations
with DISPLAY:
Time in UTC, Station Name, Location, Longitude, Latitude, Power in kW
with DISPLAY:
Time in UTC, Station Name, Location, Longitude, Latitude, Power in kW
Usual abbreviations are in use and days are given as 7 = Sunday ... 6 = Saturday
Link here to click (file name hfcc-perseus.zip with hfcc.txt, site.txt and broadcas.txt, admin.txt)hfcc.txt (sets limited to 14999 entries to avoid display problems)
Due to memory problems with PERSEUS software this HFCC file cannot work with more than ILG 14999 data sets!
Important installation before using PERSEUS SDR receiver:
Display with corrupted data if more than 15000 data sets:
Broadcasting Band
Display with correct data if less than 15000 data sets:
site.txt (sets limited to 999 entries to avaoid display problems)
broadcas.txt (560 sets in use - maximum 999 entries)
